Performance
How Map Size Affects Rust Performance
What World Size changes in Rust (memory and disk), what it doesn't (player CPU load), and how to tell if your server is coping.
How much RAM does a Rust server need?
Map size decides most of it: 8 GB for a 3000 map and about 40 players, 12 GB for 4000 and 80, 16 GB for 6000 and 150, the signs and how to upgrade.
Improve Your Rust Server's Performance
Measure Rust server lag on the Console tab, find heavy plugins with Performance Monitor, and see which settings cost the most.

What Crashes a Rust Server
The faults Facepunch's own pages tie to a Rust server stopping or freezing, and what to check on your server to avoid each one.
Game guides
Get a Rust server
Your choice of location, online in minutes, and these guides are a click away from the panel.
Rust servers here have a Wipes tab that stops the server, wipes the map, reseeds it and starts it again on a schedule you set in your server's own time zone. Oxide or Carbon installs from the Modding framework section on the Settings tab, and the forced wipe on the first Thursday of the month lands that day in the US, at about 1:45 pm Eastern (10:45 am Pacific).
