Admin Panel puts a small block of clickable buttons on an admin's screen while they play: teleport, god mode, radar, vanish and player administration. It is only a shortcut layer, so most of the buttons need another plugin to be installed before they appear. This guide covers what the panel needs, the permissions, the chat commands and the settings.
Checked against Admin Panel 1.4.8 by nivex on uMod (released 4 June 2026), October 2026. uMod describes it as a small GUI panel of clickable commands for admins. It compiled and loaded on our Carbon test server (Carbon 2.0.262, Rust build 2635).
Install it
Open the Plugins tab, search the Store for AdminPanel and press Install. How to install Oxide/uMod plugins on your Rust server covers the tab, Oxide and Carbon.
On Oxide, a newly installed plugin stays unloaded until you restart the server or type oxide.load AdminPanel in the Console. On Carbon it loads by itself within seconds, and the commands are c.load, c.unload and c.reload. The oxide.* commands, oxide.grant included, print nothing and do nothing on Carbon. Permissions only exist once the plugin has loaded, so grant them afterwards.
Permissions
The plugin registers two permissions of its own:
Grant the first one to yourself in the Console, using your SteamID64:
oxide.grant user 76561198000000001 adminpanel.allowedOn Carbon the twin is:
c.grant user 76561198000000001 adminpanel.allowedThe user form ran on our Carbon test server and answered Granted user 'Unnamed' permission 'kits.admin' (for a different plugin's permission). c.show group <name> lists what a group holds.
Which buttons show up
The Teleport button is always on the panel. The others depend on a second plugin being loaded and on you holding that plugin's permission:
Install those from the same Store and the panel redraws itself when each one loads. A button is green when its feature is on and red when it is off. An extra button, newtp, is off until you enable it in the config.
Chat commands
With adminpanel.allowed, these work in chat:
/adminpanel showand/adminpanel hidedraw or remove the panel./adminpanel settpsaves your current position as your own Teleport destination./adminpanel settp allsaves it as the shared admin location in the config./adminpanel removetpdeletes your own destination, so you go to the shared one again.
The same panel can be toggled from the console with adminpanel toggle, which suits a key bind. Without the permission the plugin answers "Unknown command", as if it were not installed.
Settings
Press Config on the plugin in the Installed list. The ones worth knowing:
- Admin Zone Coordinates is where the Teleport button sends you when you have no position of your own. Its default is the point 0, 0, 0, so set it with
/adminpanel settp allbefore you rely on it. - Toggle Mode is false by default, so the panel appears by itself when you wake up in the world and after you respawn. Set it to true and the panel only shows when you type
/adminpanel show. - Panel Pos Min and Panel Pos Max place it on screen (defaults
0.9 0.7and0.991 0.87), Font Size is 8, and Button Active Color and Button Inactive Color set the green and red. - newtp holds Button Enabled (false) and Button Color for an optional extra button that saves your position as your own Teleport destination.
Common problems
- Nothing appears. Check you have
adminpanel.allowedand that the plugin is loaded:oxide.pluginson Oxide must not list it asUnloaded, andc.pluginson Carbon should show it as loaded. - A button is missing. Its other plugin is not loaded, or you lack that plugin's permission from the table above.
- The Teleport button sends you to the middle of the map. The shared destination was never set. Stand where you want it and run
/adminpanel settp all.
Give adminpanel.allowed to staff only. The permission alone is enough to use the Teleport button, whether or not the player is a server admin.
