Link Discord to your account

Linking Discord connects your Play Your Way account to your Discord account. In return you get a role in our Discord server and you can sign in with Discord. Nothing else about your account changes.

What linking does

• A role in our Discord server. Once the link is made, we give your Discord account a role in our server.
• Sign in with Discord. On the login page, Continue with Discord signs you straight in. Your email and password keep working too.

The role is added to members of our Discord server, so join the server before you link. If you are not in it yet, the account link still works but there is no role to receive.

Link your account

1. Sign in and open Account in the dashboard menu.
2. Go to the Sign-in and security section.
3. Find the Discord row and select Link Discord.
4. Discord's own page opens and asks you to approve the connection. Check that you are signed in to the right Discord account, then approve it.
5. You land back on Account with the note "Discord linked. Your role is on its way."

The row now shows a Linked badge. Discord's approval screen opens on its website in your browser, not in the Discord app.

Use it at login

On the login page, select Continue with Discord and approve the request on Discord's page. You land back signed in. If your account has two-factor authentication on, you enter your code first, the same as with a password.

You can also create an account this way: on the signup or login page, Continue with Discord makes a new account from your Discord email and links it at the same time. An account made like this has no password. Discord is how you sign in, and when you make a paid change we ask you to confirm with Discord instead of a password.

Unlink it

1. Open Account > Sign-in and security and find the Discord row.
2. Select Unlink, then Yes, unlink to confirm.

Unlinking removes the connection and the Discord role, and you sign in with your email and password again. Nothing else about your account changes. If you made your account with Discord, Discord is your only way to sign in, so the row has no Unlink button.

If linking fails

The page says "Couldn't link Discord. It may already be linked to another account." If you linked it to a second Play Your Way account, try again from the account it is linked to. Otherwise try again from Account, and contact support if it keeps failing.
