Sky Alchemy modpack Minecraft server

Install the Sky Alchemy quest-led skyblock modpack on a Minecraft 1.18.2 Forge server from the Modpacks tab, with its shipped server settings.

Sky Alchemy is a quest-led skyblock modpack for Minecraft 1.18.2 on Forge, by the CurseForge author Kai_Nulled. You start on a small island with a quest book and choose a path towards becoming either the Ultimate Engineer or the Arcane Mage. You install the server from the Modpacks tab, using the pack's CurseForge server pack.

Checked against Sky Alchemy-V2.5.1 - Utils Addition (the CurseForge file dated 19 June 2025) on Forge 40.2.21 and Minecraft 1.18.2, October 2026.

What the pack needs

  • Game and loader. Minecraft 1.18.2 with Forge 40.2.21, both named in the server pack's variables.txt. The panel runs it on Java 17.
  • Memory. Kai_Nulled gives no RAM figure for Sky Alchemy, and the server pack carries 206 mod jars. The panel sizes the heap from your plan's RAM.
  • Disk space. About 223 MB to download and about 259 MB unpacked, so leave room for both while the install runs.
  • Players. Everyone joining installs Sky Alchemy-V2.5.1 - Utils Addition from the CurseForge app.

Install the server

Press the CurseForge chip in Modpacks, search for Sky Alchemy and pick Sky Alchemy. Skyblock Alchemy Reconstruction Era and Alchemy Factory Skyblock are different packs. The popup names Forge and Minecraft 1.18.2. Version choice, the backup and the EULA are explained in Install a CurseForge modpack.

The pack ships no Forge files of its own, so the install reads variables.txt and sets up Forge 40.2.21 itself.

First start

New players start with the quest book the pack gives them, and it is also in the inventory screen. The author's page carries one warning: any attempt to automate the center dirt of the starting island may make it disappear.

Settings the pack ships

Sky Alchemy's server pack arrives with a ready-made server.properties, which the install leaves as it is. Its values are level-type=skyblockbuilder:skyblock, max-players=10, allow-flight=true and max-tick-time=120000. You can change the last three in Config Editor, where they appear as Player slots, Allow flight and Watchdog timeout (ms).

Warning

Leave World type alone. The list in Config Editor has no skyblock choice, and the pack ships its own value. The setting only matters when a world is first created.

Common problems

  • A player is refused at the door. Their client should be Sky Alchemy-V2.5.1 - Utils Addition on Minecraft 1.18.2 with Forge. If it is, compare their mod list against the server's mods folder.
  • The server will not finish booting. The crash report names the mod at fault: find and read a crash report.
