Fantasy MC is a Fabric modpack for Minecraft 1.21.1 by Pixel Dream Studios. Its CurseForge page says the aim is to add a lot of fantasy-themed content while keeping the vanilla feel, with performance mods and matched configs. The pack's wiki lists a starter guide, a boss guide, weapons and artifacts. You install the server from the Modpacks tab, using the pack's own server files from CurseForge.
Checked against Fantasy MC [1.21.1] 0.3.3 (the CurseForge file dated 20 July 2026) and its server pack, on Fabric 0.19.3 and Minecraft 1.21.1, October 2026.
What the pack needs
- Minecraft 1.21.1 with Fabric 0.19.3. The server pack's
variables.txtnames both. The panel switches Java for you, which is Java 21 for this version. - Memory. The CurseForge page and the pack's wiki give no figure. The server pack's
variables.txtsets a 4 GB heap for the pack's own start scripts, but the panel does not use that file and sizes the heap from your plan's RAM at every start. Read how much RAM a Minecraft server needs and check the Minecraft plans before you install. - Disk space. This is a large server pack. It is a download of about 1.3 GB and unpacks to about 1.4 GB. Both sit on your plan's disk while it unpacks, so allow about 2.8 GB free. The download is deleted afterwards, and your world grows on top. The Disk Analyser tab shows what is using space.
- The same pack version for players. The file names carry a BETA tag, and the pack's wiki says players need the exact same modpack version as the server. This guide installs 0.3.3, so players should run 0.3.3 from the CurseForge app.
Install the server files
Above the search box, press the CurseForge chip and search for Fantasy MC Fabric. A search for just "Fantasy MC" returns many other fantasy packs. Press Install on Fantasy MC Fabric; the popup names Fabric and Minecraft 1.21.1. The version dropdown, the backup and the EULA tick are covered in Install a CurseForge modpack.
The CurseForge file you are installing is the dedicated server pack, so no mods are fetched one by one. The pack ships no Fabric files of its own, so the install reads variables.txt and sets Fabric up itself. Then press Start on the Console and wait for For help, type.
Settings the pack sets
The pack ships its own server.properties, and the install keeps it. Open the Config Editor to change these:
max-players=10is Player slots under Players. Raise it for a bigger group, then restart.allow-flight=trueis Allow flight under Gameplay, so flying mods do not get players kicked.view-distance=10is View distance (chunks) under Performance. The pack's wiki suggests keeping it between 8 and 12 chunks.motdis Server list message under World, and it starts as "A Fantasy MC Server".
Common problems
- A player cannot join or crashes on joining. Check they run Fantasy MC 0.3.3 on Minecraft 1.21.1 with Fabric. For players who cannot join, the pack's wiki says to make sure everyone has the exact same pack version.
- The server crashes at boot. Find and read a crash report shows how to name the mod at fault. The pack's issues link on CurseForge goes to the Pixel Dream Studios Discord.
