The Guard of the North set is a five-piece armour set that you find rather than craft. The official wiki lists it as a world drop, and all five pieces are around Pikemead's Reach, the capital. This guide covers where each piece is, what the set costs you in the Shroud and the achievement that comes with collecting it.
Checked against Enshrouded 1.0.0.3 (hotfix of 21 October 2026), October 2026.
What the set is
MetaBot, MetaForge and PinDrop read 1.0 game data and list the Guard of the North set at level 10. The official wiki and Hack the Minotaur, both written before 1.0, call it level 13, so go by 10. The set has five pieces: Helmet, Chestplate, Gloves, Pants and Boots.
The official wiki, Hack the Minotaur and MetaForge all list a reduction to your maximum time in the Shroud on every piece, so the set trades Shroud time for its other bonuses. The figures below are the 1.0 ones.
What each piece gives
MetaBot and MetaForge both read 1.0 game data, and they agree on these bonuses. They list every piece as Rare and item level 10.
Each piece lists a full minute off your Shroud time, so the whole set lists five minutes.
Where to find it
Both the official wiki and Hack the Minotaur (written before 1.0) say the pieces are world drops in Revelwood, one to each of five gold chests around Pikemead's Reach. MetaBot's 1.0 data lists the helmet and boots in silver chests, so check the chest color in game.
The official wiki and Hack the Minotaur, both written before 1.0, name these areas for the pieces:
Pikemead's Reach is also where the Farmer's first Kettle is found, so you may already be heading there for the Enshrouded cooking guide.
The official wiki's page for this set was last edited in October 2025, before 1.0. Treat the areas above as a guide and check them against the map in your game.
The achievement
Collecting every piece unlocks the Steam achievement Pieces of the past. Steam's description reads: Find all forgotten "guard of the north" armor pieces. The full list of achievements is in the Enshrouded achievements guide.
Upgrading the set
Keen Games' Update 8 notes say armour can be upgraded with Runes, and that the Blacksmith handles warrior equipment. The Enshrouded upgrade equipment guide explains how.
What to do next
Level 10 sits well below the player cap of 50. Gear can be upgraded as far as level 55, which is how you stretch it. The Enshrouded class guide helps you pick pieces for your build.
On your server
If you play with the Custom difficulty preset, the Time in the Shroud setting in the Players card of the Server Settings tab multiplies how long players can stay in the Shroud, from 0.5 to 2. That changes how much the set's Shroud penalty matters. Enshrouded server settings covers the tab, and Enshrouded server hosting lists the plans.
